Earlier this year, we tackled the Kings Canyon Rim Walk — over 500 steps, rugged terrain and some spectacular views — before descending to the beautiful permanent waterhole at its heart.

Tucked away among the ancient sandstone, the Garden of Eden feels almost otherworldly. A place of incredible stillness, natural beauty and a welcome sense of calm after the walk.

This oil painting was created from my own photographs taken on the journey, bringing back the atmosphere and beauty of this remarkable Australian landscape.
